Why I Love Hartland, Michigan
Hartland, Michigan is convenient to US-23 which easily connects to I-96 and points beyond. Hartland’s main corridors are Old-23 and M-59.
I love going to the cider mills in the Hartland, MI area. You can find Spicer’s at Clyde Road right off US-23. Look for the big red barn. You can pick your own apples and/or buy fruit in their market. Donuts and cider are popular here as well. Kids enjoy the Farm and Play Area.
Parshallville is also a popular historic cider mill in the Hartland, MI area also near US-23 and Clyde or Center Roads. There are paths for walking or you can enjoy your cider and donuts along Ore Creek.
Waldenwoods, overlooking Lake Walden, is a popular resort and conference center in Hartland located off OLD-23. You can get married here, camp, stay in the lodge, hike, fish, boat, swim, play tennis, golf and more.
Real estate in Hartland, Michigan is varied and should appeal to most people. There are condominiums convenient to Old-23, M-59 and US-23. There are many subdivisions in Hartland, Michigan at different price points like MillPointe for more affordable housing to San Marino and Autumn Woods. You may find a home for sale on 10 acres or a lakefront home. Search for homes for sale in Hartland, Michigan.
Dunham Lake subdivision is a unique neighborhood in Hartland (and Highland) that makes you feel like you are living up north. Homeowners have access to private Dunham Lake where you can enjoy fishing, kayaking, swimming, stand-up paddleboard and sandy beaches. There is a protected greenbelt where you can hike, cross country ski and more. Photos on this page are of Dunham Lake. Maxfield Lake and Long Lake are also popular lakes in Hartland where you may be able to find a house for sale.
Shopping and restaurants are plentiful in Hartland, Michigan. The Black Rock Bar & Grill located off M-59 and just off the US-23 expressway has been very successful and won awards. You can cook your steak or seafood at your table on your “hot rock”. I also highly recommend Tony Sacco’s where you can enjoy “coal-oven” pizza, located near Target.
I enjoy visiting the Cromaine Library. There is a smaller library location (the “Crossroads Branch”) off Old-23 and M-59 behind Speedway. The larger library is located in downtown Hartland. You can access the Internet, check out books with your library card, or even borrow a Nook or Kindle that comes pre-loaded with books.
